Personal Finance Articles of the Week, 7/19/2013

How was your week? My week was dominated by a flooded basement, a crazy stressed out wife, and wondering why the heck I moved to Medina, Ohio. However, we have an emergency fund which paid for the flood along with some insurance coverage. The moral of the story is that an emergency fund makes a crisis turn into an inconvenience.

Coaching my son's baseball team kept the edge off from the flooded basement. I would rather pay somebody to clean up the flood and spend time with my boy.

Let’s get to some personal finance articles of the week that I think are worth reading:

I provide one on one financial planning, counseling, and coaching coaching services that will help you develop and implement a plan specific to your unique situation. This may include learning how to create a cash flow plan, save for emergencies and purchases, reduce debt, and build wealth. In addition, I can walk with you through a crisis, such as dealing with harassing debt collectors, bankruptcy, and foreclosure.
